He previously held the roles of Director of Architecture and Director of Infrastructure at Dyn, Director of DNS Operations at ICANN and Network Architect at TekSavvy, a large, independent Canadian ISP. Joe is an active contributor to the IETF, a volunteer instructor at the Network Startup Resource Center and a long-time supporter of technical community-building in East Africa.

Joe Abley was actively involved in responding to the Mirai attack in 2016 and will share his knowledge and experience and tips on how to respond to DDOS and better defend against such attacks. More on Mirai
