Tyrus Muya Kamau is an Information Security professional with 13 years experience in the field. He is a Principal Consultant at Euclid Consultancy Ltd, a cyber security company which he started 3 years ago where he runs it full time. He specializes on Signaling security, Penetration Testing and Research & Development in Cyber Security, Training and Awareness and Compliance. Prior to starting his own company, Tyrus held various leadership positions in the industry including the Africa Head of IT Security; Airtel Money at Bharti Airtel and Group Head of IT Security at Cellulant Group.

He was a key consultant in the development of the National Cyber Security Master Plan (NSCMP) working with Booz Allen & Hamilton and the former ICT Board. His input saw him work with various intergovernmental bodies in line with the country’s Vision 2030. The Master Plan was launched by H.E Uhuru Kenyatta, in February 2014.

Tyrus was also a part time lecturer at Strathmore University’s iLab for 3 years where he instructed the Masters in Telecommunication, Innovation & Development. In addition he also conducts hands on training on cyber security under his firm usually with the mLab and iHub. Tyrus was also involved in a training organized by Interpol on Prosecuting Cyber crimes as well as ISOC’s training on cyber security and Internet Freedom.

He has also contributed significantly to matters cyber security in the form of articles, publications and cyber security reports.
